Our Mission: Through Student learning, Strategic Teaching, teamwork, and flexibility, all Wallowa School District students will become successful and positive contributors to society.

The walls in the school are covered with PBIS posters as staff move to implement this behavior program for the 2017-2018 school year.   PBIS stands for Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports.  It is a popular and well known school-wide behavior program for schools.  Staff have been learning about and creating the program specifically for WES for the past 2 years and are ready to implement it this year.  "PBIS includes preventative and responsive approaches that may be effectively implemented with all students in a classroom and intensified to support small groups or a few individual students. PBIS strategies are important tools to decrease disruptions, increase instructional time, and improve student social behavior and academic outcomes." (pbis.org website)  The WES staff are excited to implement PBIS!
