Jennifer Gibbs is the fifth grade teacher and lives in Wallowa, Oregon.  She is a wife, a mother, and a grandmother.  She enjoys the outdoors, her community, and spending time with her family.  She began teaching as soon as she finished college (several years ago!) and has continued to teach every year since.  She has a strong background in math and science.  She loves to teach, and loves to learn even more. She has endorsements in the areas of elementary education, math, and reading.  She recently completed a Master of Science degree in Instruction and Curriculum.  She is a past winner of the Oregon Council of Teachers of Mathematics Region Award, a Soroptomist Fellowship Award, and was selected as one of six Oregon teachers to attend the George Washington Teacher Institute in Washington D.C.  She believes in creating a child centered classroom where all children can learn and thrive.
